New Born Billing
« on: May 03, 2012, 02:18:35 PM »
Am I missing something when billing for a new born visit in a hospital birthing room? I am billing 99460 for an initial visit, 99462 for follow up visits and 99238 for d/c (this is for a normal term neonate). The average pymt is about $65.00 for each charge. Is there something I am missing? The provider is not doing any hearing screenings or immunizations. Trying to brain storm and have looked through the CPT book many times. Thank you.
