CPT 96001 Podiatry In office
« on: August 31, 2017, 09:24:02 PM »
Aloha respected experts!

My podiatrist is asking me about billing CPT 96001/96004. I find mixed information and can't pull it up on the Noridian LCD. I do understand what this procedure is, but see references to patient being between age 3-20 as well as outher outdated materials. I am having a hard time finding any current specific clinical guidelines that relate to a Podiatrist performing this service in an office setting. She is an absolute genius and I have no doubt that if she is asking ( it was a text) that she will make sure she has the proper equipment to perform the Motion Analysis Procedure.
Anybody?

Thank you in advance
Jessica

Hi,

I do show that they are covered expenses but I do not pull up an LCD either.  I did find the following from BCBS Medicare which I thought might be helpful:

Hope that helps!
