SURGEON CALLED INTO CASE
« on: December 08, 2011, 04:47:50 PM »
My general surgeon got called into the OR during a TAH-BSO when the GYN doctor felt the appendix looked inflamed. My surgeon scrubbed in and removed the appendix and then left the case and the GYN completed the procedure and closed the patient. Should I bill 44970 with a -62 modifier? Thanks in advance ;D
