TYPE1 AND TYPE2 NPI

Could anyone help with type 1 and type 2 NPI needs
Physician is a new sole  member LLC electing as a disregarded entity for IRS, he has an Individual NPI does he need an NPI for the Sole member LLC?some sites like texas med association say yes as the entity will bill as an LLc sole member for Tax purposes Physician can put income on Schedule C but still its a separate entity for Legal purposes.

Help Help!!!Urgent

Example ABCD Medical Care LLC
Internal Medicine
Dr XYZ
Sole member LLC President Dr XYZ :) ::)Tax election Disregarded Entity

Yes, the LLC needs a type II NPI.  Then the dr's individual NPI will be linked (by insurance carriers) to the LLC's group NPI for payment.
