Getting Started
« on: November 09, 2012, 06:15:45 AM »
Hi, I have been trying for so long to start my own billing business. There seems to be so much involved. I received my education in Dallas, TX and graduated national honor society and top of my class. This was back in 2004. I worked for a DME company for about 4 years as their only medical biller. I loved it. Life changed for me and I now live in Nevada. I want to get back into it, but feel overwhelmed. I know I can do it. I am very committed and want to make this work. Maybe it is just confidence, other people do it with less knowledge  than I have. I know I would be a great and dedicated biller for someone that would give me a chance. I am tired of fighting for a job out in the terrible job market the way it is, and I have all this knowledge and don't really know where to start. I purchased the Starting Your billing business ebook several years ago, but don't have it anymore. I read and have kept all of the newsletters and all of my training books, but like I said, I feel overwhelmed Help!

What are your intentions? Are you looking to start your own business or work for another billing company? I just ask because either way it's tough. Starting up your own business would be a much better option, billing companies already incur liabilities for their own billing companies, hiring another outsourced "employee" creates added liability so IMHO you will have a tougher time seeking "employment" vs. starting your own billing company.
