« on: August 24, 2009, 12:19:54 PM »
Hi,

I want to know what is an Edit report.  Our Drs. clinic have requested us to sent an edit report. And i dont have any idea about what exactly is an Edit report. Please advice.

Thanks a lot in advance.

It varies per provider......you would have to ask him to be more specific.

This is STRICTLY A guess.and I AGREE (Getting old eh Charlene?) with Charlene, nothing wrong with asking the provider.. "What's that?"  BUT they might want a report showing the carrier edits (rejected claims).

That's just a guess. When you say "edits" I'm just thinking on the clearinghouse level, you are still going to need to know what type of report they want ie; data collected.

Maybe they meant audit report?  I agree (feel the love!) you should ask the provider for exactly what it is he is looking for.
