« on: December 30, 2012, 01:31:00 PM »
Can anyone give me some advice on what to look for in a medical billing software, I will be starting my home based medical billing company within a few months, I have looked at quite a few and still have no idea on which one to choose

1.  Do you have clients yet?

2.  If yes, do they do complicated medicine or simple (same three codes all year long)?

3.  What percent of their practice is Medicare?  Medicaid?  Workers Comp?

Go here and scroll down to the "Medical Billing Software" section.
Go here and type the word "software" into the search box at upper right:
     Then read.  All of it.
Then come back with more questions, if they exist.

The type of software you need depends on how complicated your billing will be.  But you should also account for future growth - so maybe buy more software than you need at the moment.
