Chiro client with multiple practice locations
« on: June 22, 2009, 08:56:00 PM »
Hello all,

I am in the process of signing another chiro client.  She does not have her own office, she practices at three other shared locations (she is not part of a group).  Her remittance address is the same as one lof her practice locations.  She uses the shared in-house biller from that office for services she provides at that location.  She would like me to do the billing for services she provides at the other two locations.

Any suggestions as to the easiest way to keep all the EOB's and any other mailings received separate/organized.  As I understand it all the insurance carriers only keep one remittance address on file per physician for sending EOB's and checks, while they do have multiple address locations listed for where provider's services were rendered.

My thinking is that it would be most practical to have the chiro obtain a post office box and either have herself or better yet me, separate what belongs to what biller.

Any input received on this topic is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Nancy

That's a tough one because like you said, the insurance carriers will only mail to one address for all locations.  The only other way to split it up is if she would get a separate name and EIN/Tax ID # for the other two locations, which she probably does not want to do.

The PO Box might work, depending on who separates things, but the eobs will contain billing for both on the same remit.  Also, it will take some work to switch the correspondence address.

Good luck!
