Panels
« on: June 23, 2010, 07:37:08 PM »
Many of the providers that I bill for would like to see me increase my ability to express opinions on panels. They often ask, "Which panel should I join?". Usually the conversation continues with, "of the these 3 which do you think is the best?"
BC Advantage has some articles on credentialing issues, but is there a journal out there that devotes all of its pages to insurance panels and isn't biased or funded by one carrier? A magazine that compares the contracted rates, customer accessibility, and user friendliness. A magazine willing to stand up and say what goes through a providers mind when they get a reimbursement check in mail from ASH Network for eleven dollars?

Yeah I agree, I don't think you will find such a source because many of the managed care contracts specifically forbid providers from discussing panels with other doctors.
