: Billing G0438/G0439 Annual Wellness visit for Medicare

Does anyone know if there are specific diagnosis codes that need to be billed with these codes?  I was thinking V70.0.

Thanks :)

I believe that is correct.

I am fairly new at billing and I didn't know you could bill G codes for wellness visits.  I knew preventative visits weren't covered like physicals, I usually would just bill a level visit.  So we can bill these 2 g codes for wellness using diag V70.0?
If so that is really good to know.  I'm really glad I joined this forum.  Thanks for your info!  Heather Palomo/Tewksbury MA

Yes Medicare allows the G codes and I thought the V70.0 was acceptable.  But I am not a certified coder.

These are new codes for Medicare and what is great is that Medicare covers them at 100%(in New York) No coinsurance. And yes v70.0 is the dx you need
