primary coding of 616.11
« on: April 07, 2015, 02:22:31 PM »
hi

Our software is rejecting a claim with 616.11 (Vaginitis and vulvovaginitis) diagnosis code.
"Dx1 61611 describes an external cause, or requires the ICD code for the first underlying disease, and should never be listed as the primary diagnosis for a procedure."

Can someone tell what code to use instead of that?

Thanks,
Arvind
