: coding question re late effects

I have a senario to code, and i need help, i am a coding student, the senario is:  headaches due to an old skull fracture sustained when the patient fell from a ladder 1 yr ago.    I believe i start with coding headaches, but not sure if i code it just under headaches, or late efttets or what please help.

I would use the headache icd code first, then the skull fracture and fall from the ladder codes.

thank you, well i did find out, i code headaches from alpha index, then skull fracture in alpha index under late efftects, then the fall from the aplha index under external causes to injury under late effects. thank you
