Hi there,
Since I am new at this..I was wondering when is the best time of the month to prepare and send out patient bills? When is the best time to do the monthy A/R reports and Insurance payments? thank you so much for your help..Have a good day.

I personally found that I get a better response (payments) from patients if I send statements out at the end of the month (since most people sit down and pay their bills right around the 1st).

As far as monthly A/R or insurance payments, I'm not sure quite what you mean.

For some of my clients I do patient statements twice a month, depends on volume and A/R.  For reports to my providers I provide some basic weekly reports for such things as copay's.   Monthly reports are more extensive and include full A/R reports, potential collection reports, carrier adjustment reports, etc. I also provide quarterly and annual reporting for various different reasons such as analyzing loss by carrier, patient, etc.
