: Modifier for Mental Health Ind and IOP billed on same day

For mental health if I bill for a 90806 and a 90804 on the same day what modifier should i use?  To put it another way.  If I bill on a UB04 for IOP and then also bill a 90806 on the same day what modifier should I use?  My billing software has a error msg that states " 90806 will not be paid unless a modifier is added".  To my dismay no one can tell me what this means.... PLEASE HELP

IOP is frustrating because you get 10 different answers from 10 diff carriers.
I always thought you used the S Codes for IOP?   Also if the 90804 and 90806 are by same provider I'm not sure you can bill them together, I would think you need to go with 90808..but again, I thought there were S codes specifically for IOP?
