Pulmonary Rehab
« on: December 23, 2009, 09:32:35 PM »
In 2010 Medicare will no longer accept CPT codes G0237,G0438 and G0239 as these will no be billed as G0424.  has anyone heard or know how the commercial carriers will be adapting?  Will they still allowuing billing of the 2009 HCPC codes?

Thanks

Haven't heard anything yet.  But that is what is frustrating.  Medicare will switch a code, and each commercial carrier usually eventually switches, but not all at the same time.  So you have to know which ones use which code at which time!

Ive seen Medicare make a decision for the new year and some insurance companies never follow Medicares lead.  Ive seen those that have followed waited until June or July to do the same with no grandfathering back to January.  Thats what makes our job fun.
