New Billing Company
« on: January 09, 2014, 03:05:54 PM »
Hi all I just started our own billing company and need to know how to get that first client. We have been going out and giving out flyers and information on our company. I have done4 demos' with no success on getting them to sign, they all said they were impressed with the software, but no one would commit. Any suggestions on what I am not doing to get them to say yes.

That is the #! question asked and it so varies from person to person, company to company.

What is your experience?
what services are you bringing to the table that would provide you a niche?
What have you done so far in regards to marketing.. flyers, brochure, postcards, resume, website..etc etc

4 demo's really only says to me your selling software. WHAT services are you selling? Software is a crap business right now.. plenty to go around. No offense.. just telling it like it is. You need to have services and a reputation/resume to stand up for your business. It is a tough market and you need to know all there is which is a heck of a lot more than software or demo's.

It really should make no difference which software you are using to the physician. They need your services to get them paid.

I assume that you have a background in this business. Would you be willing to share so that we can possibly help you.

Yes, I was a medical secretary for 30 years. I did billing for the office for the neurosurgeon and an orthopedic surgeon. I did some classes recently on medical billing. The demos I did was showing the potential client EHR and a practice management software, so that they can see the benefit it will have for their office employees. I see your point, thanks to all for the input and I do want honesty thats the best policy, whether we want to hear it or not. I want my business to be successful.

thanks

Like you are already doing, try to reach out to maximum people who may be interested in your services. Concentrate on the smaller organizations. You can help them progress sooner and this will surely affect your reputation. Try to prove you are the best and promise your clients that you would be providing the best of services. It is important that one should avoid making false promises as this will create a wrong impression about you and your business. You can check the following link that mentions what a health care provider may look into before outsourcing their medical billing task.
