I have used this site before and it was so helpful I thought I would see if someone can help me with my newest question/problem. Is G8553 (prescription generated electronically) still being used for Medicare? I have submitted a couple of claims electronically with this code and they get rejected by Medicare with a rejection of "Invalid Info- HCPCS" I did a google search on this G code and on one website I found it says HCPCS Termination date 12-31-2013, I was just wondering if this code is no longer valid to report and I just completely missed the announcement on it or what. If it still being used I'm unsure why Medicare is rejecting these claims but I figured I would cross that bridge if need be. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Thank you,
Ashley

Nevermind I got my answer, no one in my office decided to share that you no longer use this code! Sorry
