 Hi,

  My name is Janive Merritt and I just graduated in 2007, in medical billing and coding course online.I earn my associate's of science degree.I'll be taking the cca exam at the end October,hoping to pass but my question is for a new beginner would it be good to start part time.What's steps I need to take and how to
go about it.

Hi Janive,

   The question you ask has a different answer for each person.  It really depends on your situation.  If you currently have a job that would allow you to start your medical billing business part time then I would think that would be a great option.  You will be able to keep your income while working on building your business.  Not everyone has that option.  It may take you a little longer to build up your business since you won't be able to work at it full time, but getting started can be difficult.  Sometimes taking it slow is a better option.

But for others, jumping in with both feet works and that is the way they want it.  Putting 100% in right away and building up fast. 

It really depends on your circumstances and your personality.  When we started our business I kept my full time job for about 7 months before quitting.  Then I found I couldn't do what needed to be done to grow to where we wanted it to grow.
