Can any of you folks recommend a system of record keeping and accounting for a growing medical billing business? My business is pretty small, so I keep my accounting info on Excel, and use Paypal to invoice my clients, which may be fine for now, but as my business grows, I'll need something more sophisticated. Quick Books is a popular item, but many of their reviews on Amazon.com are pretty grim, citing  poor support and customer service. Any thoughts?

We have always used Quickbooks.  I can't compare it since we've never used anything else but we've never had any problems.

Have you checked out Viewpost?  Several medical billing companies posted in another online forum that they use this instead of Quick Books and are quite happy with it.

I use Quickbooks as well, it integrates with both my accounts plus my CRM (ACT)
In all the years I've used it I've never had to call tech support, it's pretty user friendly and as long as you keep all the forms updated you shouldn't have a problem.
