Hi. Haven't written in awhile but I have a question about medicare billing. In the past we have billed medicare for orthotics knowing full well that they don't pay. They usually pay the adjustment code 98940 but deny the orthotics L3020, then we send EOB to secondary. Now they are denying the whole claim which in turn we cannot bill the secondary. Are there new modifiers? I'm very frustrated. Thank you

The bulletin at the link below was updated 4-6-13 and still refers to the AT modifier being needed for 98940.
