ICD-10 Seminars

Is anyone aware of any GOOD seminars coming up regarding ICD10? Once again, there are changes being made, but not much in the way of education so we can get it right once it happens!

I've actually been doing a lot of research and reading articles online. Kareo had a webinar but I am not sure of actual seminars that you can physically attend.

I am sick of looking for educational seminars and icd -10 issues period. Everywhere I look, all information contradicts the last etc etc.
No, to answer your question, I do not know of any at this time.

The problem is that ICD-10 isn't really complete so any seminars, classes you might take now, might not be beneficial. We fully expect there to be a few delay's with the deadlines because true to form.. EVERY deadline they put out is always delayed!!

Here are a couple of websites that have a ton of info:
www.icd10hub.com
(sponsored by AAPC and Navicure)
www.icd10watch.com
(sponsored by Healthcare Financial News)
Seems like everyone from Rin-Tin-Tin to the Man on the Moon are sponsoring seminars on this topic. Personally, I'm just monitoring the updates on the subject as it draws closer. I have a hard enough time remembering stuff I learned last week let alone something that's two years down the road!

Make sure you know who is putting the seminar on and what their credentials are. Many people watch for things like this just to make a buck. Since so many know so little about it, they don't have to know much either. They just act like they do, take your money, and then they are gone. They are like the traveling carnival, but you get your moneys worth from going to the carnival!

See, I think the opposite, I actually think this is going to be easier and I don't like change at all. LOL (I know, wrong industry for me
) If you go to the "overview/review" here:
http://www.beckersasc.com/asc-coding-billing-and-collections/icd-10-cm-out-with-the-old-in-with-the-new.html
it's pretty good description of the changes. If you go HERE, these are the OFFICIAL changes:
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/icd.htm
there you have the guidelines, the codes (newest release from 12/2010) and description's.
Remember that with EVERY change the govt has ever put out, they NEVER go with their original release date (10/1/2013) they always end up pushing it back, so the way I figure it, I'll be ahead of the game w/out having paid a dime to any seminar.
