Has anyone ever billed for Prehab visits? We just started doing these, but are not familiar with how to bill them.

Can you be more specific?  Not sure what you are referring to "Prehab visits."

We are seeing the patient's at their homes prior to joint surgery. It is a Rehab visit prior to the surgery.

So it is like home PT?  You would bill the same as you would bill if the patient was seen in the office, but the place of service would be 12 for home.

We are homecare and usually bill as institutional. Is it safe to say that these would not be institutional?

If you are a home health care agency wouldn't you bill it as you do other home health services?  Is it that you are a home health agency who is now just adding PT to their services?  I'm sorry I'm just still confused about exactly what you are asking.
