Changes for 97530?
« on: December 11, 2008, 04:49:09 PM »
Does anyone know if this code is no longer valid for use by an occupational therapist?  I have billed this code frequently for OT and now I am getting denials for the provider not being eligible to bill for that service.

I have not heard that the 97530 is not valid for OT.  I would contact the customer service department and ask why it is not being allowed.  Is it possible you are just missing a modifier?  I have seen that it is not allowed separately from other physical medicine codes without the 59 modifier.
