Nurse Practitioner Billing
« on: December 30, 2011, 10:54:54 AM »
This is my first post, so bear with me. I would like to know if someone could give me some helpful tips in billing for a Nurse Practitioner. This prospective client has set up an office w/ an MD overseeing everything. She does a lot of Nursing Home Visits,  and some office visits.

I am most concerned about the Nursing Home Visits. When she goes to see a patient in the Nursing Home, will the billing be pretty much the same ( except for the place of service) ?

You would use E&M codes 99304-99319 with POS 31 (SNF) or 32 (ICF) depending on what level of care your nursing home is.
