Do you think EMRs billing modules present a problem for the billing business in the near future?

Do you mean that they will take billing business away because the EMR's offer billing capabilities?

Yes, also I see a lot of EMR companies teaming up with billing firms to sell EMRs.

Though it's taking longer than I thought, doctors are being fooled into believing they need these multi-million dollar systems and high end capabilities. the TRUTH is that MOST of your PM software solutions out there have already adapted OR are in the process of integrating EMR into their software's.  I do think billing companies should be aware of, educated on and made to keep abreast of what's going on and help their providers make "INFORMED" decisions and not fall for some of the marketing out there by these EMR solutions. I have a new client that was approached and sold a system that cost him nearly 40K when his PM software had a module for a fraction of the cost and would have integrated right into his system, he's in process of getting refund and setting up with his vendor for training and development and integration. Most of these companies are marketing using the scare technique, I think our part in this is to help the provider see their are and HAVE BEEN solutions right out there under their noses for fractions of what they are being told they have to spend, part of that is the fault of the govt promising funds to help doctors develop the EMR solution.

I agree with Linda.  A lot of scare tactics.  We were approached by a very expensive EMR company that wanted us to market to our docs.  No way.  Like Linda said, most PM's have some option for EMR that is usually reasonable.

What about these larger companies that are offering free EMP with billing services, or EMR at $400/month.
I agree with Linda, too much miss information.
