: DME Bid Winners without proper licensure getting scrutiny and some removed
: medbillllc June 21, 2013, 04:27:07 PM
Finally some attention is being shed on the fact that so many bid winners in CBAs did not have proper licensure.

Tennessee has already pushed those contract winners out but we aren't sure how CMS will back fill the providers or adjust the price.

Now Maryland begins their battle albeit in the courts.

Disclaimer; Not a political statement..
But I have always found it interesting that we have always had Federal laws and not enough money allocated to see that they are implemented properly. I am still waiting to see a doctor handcuffed on the front page of the NY Times for violating the requirements for HIPAA. Providers are fined less for violations than we are in California for texting while driving.

Oh now you know I'm going to ask you to cite those references. LOL

NJ has driving while drowsy and the fine is higher than DUI.  :o
