: 1500 Physician Billing - FL 32a & 33a NPI

Can anyone tell me if Medicare requires the watermark of 'NPI' to stay showing on the form in both these locators. Our forms have a lightly shaded watermark of 'NPI' and when the actual NPI number prints in either of these, sometimes it is hard to see. Just wanted to get everyone's take on this. One of our sites is about to start 1500 billing. Thank you.

I may be incorrect, but I believe the "watermarks" are just part of the actuall form.  Maybe change the font (nothing fancy) so that when NPI is printed it will print darker.

No, they are a part of the form, you are right. I am just wondering if Medicare wants the watermark removed by the time they receive the bill.
