Hello there folks!
I have a: "I cannot find an answer nowhere question"... maybe I get lucky here with you.....
An ARNP that covers an specialist Dr., that was called in for an inpatient consultation from the patient's attending Dr., this ARNP has his own company/provider numbers and so, and works with the mentioned specialist Dr. that lets her do inpatient consultations on his behalf (so it's a patient of the specialist, but she is billing for it, because she is a provider).
Which name should show as the referring provider:
a) The primary care who call for the inpatient consult?
b) Or the actual specialist that lets her do the inpatient consultation?
