Hospice Medical Billing Issues
« on: December 19, 2008, 12:22:41 PM »
I do electronic billing for a hospice agency.  Claims are submitted via an EDI service provider.  The agency has been notified there are Several claims in location S M95HG starting with a receipt date of 11/3/2008 (covering October services). These claims have not been paid by Medicare yet - - they are just cycling on line.  Have you heard from anyone else who may be having this problem when submitting hospice claims electronically to Medicare?  Are you aware of this being a problem?

No I haven't heard of anyone else having this provider.  Who notified the agency?  If it was Medicare then I would call them to see why they are 'pending'.  Otherwise I would contact the EDI service provider to find out why.

Good luck

I am Yet to understand you:

are you trying to file Hospice claims electronically, fact is Hospice will not accept electronic claim always claims should go thru paper with the medical records (hospice address should be PT County hospice)

Are you trying to file Hospice PT claims to Medicare electronically, we can do it. Medicare will process and pay us if we submit claims with required Modifiers

GV or GW

Try this if this is what answer you are looking in
