lab codes for dermatology

Hi,
Can my doctor which is a dermatologist bill for lab codes 87070-culture, 87075-culture, 87101 -fungus culture and 99000 handling of specimen, he sends takes the test and sends it out to a lab?

If he is performing the service he can bill.  Not all insurances may reimburse him for them.  He may need to have a CLIA waiver on file, or be set up in the insurance carriers system to be reimbursed for those codes.  As long as the services are within his scope of practice.
