Bidding on Government Contracts
« on: January 29, 2013, 06:22:00 AM »
Does anyone bid on Government Contracts?
How does the bidding process work?
How can one find the bid jobs to bid on?
I would like to hear some feedback on government contracts.

Thanks in advance guys!

The bidding process varies from agency to agency and local to state requirements. Typically, bids/RFPs are publicly listed. Some agencies/locals/states have been using subscription sites to post their opportunities. If there is a specific location you are interested in, you would visit that state's (or county or city) website and look for "bidding" or "procurement" or "RFP" opportunities. If a link is not readily visible, do a keyword search. From there, you can view the open opportunities. They may or may not include instructions on how to receive future opportunities as well. There are quite a few subscription sites that will also send you upcoming opportunities as well. You'd be smart to subscribe to a couple or do a short-term subscription at first to determine if the information you are receiving is what you are looking for.
