office billing vs. clinic billing
« on: March 31, 2011, 08:19:14 PM »
Hello,
I re-phrased this post, hope it makes better sense.
If a provider owns his own practice and also performs service at a walk in clinic, does the billing go through his own office or does the clinic take care of the billing for services performed at the clinic.

Thank you,
Brenda

If they are billing for professional services it doesn't matter whether they are scheduled appointments or walk ins.  The billing is the same done on CMS forms.  There are codes for after hours, or holidays etc, but otherwise it is the same.

I answered your first post before you rephrased it.  The way you rephrased it, the question is how is the arrangement between the physician and the clinic.
