« on: December 28, 2010, 11:36:20 PM »
I am new to mri billing:   mri billing will be done in florida:  need to know to average cost:
I've done some research this is what I've discovered: mri cervical spine 1950.00, mri shoulder, arm, wrist or ankle fee 1500.00; mri knee 1450.00;  mri neck 340.00;  mri lumbar 2500.00..  I will be billing the TC part.
is there's a website or other ways to research this..  book etc..  thank you

When you say average cost I'm assuming you mean average charge to bill out right?  If so, I would go to the Medicare fee schedule and start with their allowed amount.  Many use that as a base to figure their charges by multiplying the Medicare allowed amount by anywhere from 130% to 160%.
