Billing Software
« on: May 21, 2012, 12:49:08 PM »
We are signing our first client, and we need to make a final decision on software.  So far we have it down between Kareo and Healthfusion.  Any recommendations?  Also, what is the best system to use for DocuManagement.

I particularly like Kareo the best of the two mentioned. This is more of a personal choice as both are decent and get the job done. Also remember that today's billing company should be diversified, many providers will come to you wanting to KEEP their in-house billing PM system so be ready for that as well.

Thank you for your opinion.  And yes, we have been talking to at least 10 different providers/different specialities, and most of them have just switched PM to be able to file 5010 compliant claims, as well as the EHR portions of software for the incentive programs, so they do not want to switch.  For everyone one of those providers, we explained that we would not change their billing software, we would use theirs.  But, this one we are signing does not like his PM, so he wants to use ours.  Just not sure which direction to go.  Healthfusion cost more, but we are trying not to base our decision off of that.
