timely filing deadline approach
« on: September 09, 2008, 02:37:56 AM »
Hi Michelle,

Thanks for the great books! I bought 6 of them. This is great info. for me I a "right to the point" kind of person, so your books have been great for me.  In "signing your first Dr.", you mentioned using the "timely filing deadline approach" it sounds like a dead line that comes about once a year. I thought that depending on who the claim was being filed with you only had 30 or 45 days to file a claim or it would not be pd.

Thanks again for all your help!

I have tried to get help from others already in the business but they want no part of it. I guess they feel threatend by helping someone else do better. All that you do to help all the rest of us will certainly come back to you and will be well deserved!

Hi Trisha,
We experienced the same thing when we started.  Nobody likes to talk to other billing services.  That's one of the reasons we started writing the books and then the websites.  There's enough business out there!

Anyway, the example I used in the book happens to be a local carrier that most state workers in NY have.  They have a deadline of March 31st for all claims in the previous year.  It is unusual.  Most have 30, 60, 90 or 120 day deadlines.  But anything you can use to get the dr to let you do some work to save him from losing money is a great way in the door.

Good luck and we always love to hear when the books are helpful.
