Mail Marketing?
« on: January 04, 2013, 05:17:10 PM »
Sending postcards.... I am noticing a group of docs who pratice together at several different locations; should I send a postcard to every single doctor at every single location?

they will be saturated with my postcards-will they see this as tacky or ambitious?   :P

thanks!

Postcards are great for reminding and for staying in front of potential clients.. they should not, however be used in place of marketing materials that provide more information, if your using postcards as follow up to other things like brochures or newsletters, it's good idea to maybe include a blur like "Stay tuned for our special offer postcard" or something like that .Gives the reader something to anticipate and a "heads up".    Just don't try to put too much on a postcard. Use it for speciall offers, or something enticing to make the reader contact you for MORE. :)

would you send a mailer to every provider at a single location (same specialty)?  also same provider at multiple locations...would you hit them all?

thanks, you are a wealth of info!!!!

If you have multiple providers at one facility I would only do one postcard. If you did them individually to same address it really would be a waste.

Thanx Linda for the great info! Really helpful.  Postcards offer a unique, memorable way to tie a visual image to your sales message. Postcard campaigns reinforce your brand, and help you to reconnect with past customers while attracting new ones.

I agree with, Linda. I use the post-card method but even my introduction post cards offer some kind of deal. I've noticed that since we've changed the way we use our postcards and how often we send them that people do call, remember, etc. I've signed 3 new clients from the postcard method and that was after we only sent-out a 100. In a big city like NYC it's not bad.

JUST this morning I was talking to a girl in Mass who just started her billing company, she told me of a tip she got that seems to be working quite well.  She does do postcard mailings, but she's using the ones where you can tear off a part and send back (postage paid). She is actually marketing a free one hour consult to the office and staff (Q&A style). On the postcard she asks the practice if they are interested and would they like a call back for more information.   She sent out 500 2 weeks ago and has received 11 back which is an AWESOME response :)   Just thought I would post it. I was going to post it in a new topic but seemed to be fate I read this :)

Hi, Christy - we actually work the way PMRNC's friend does. I also don't put out website on the postcards we give a 800# and a little tiny questionnaire that they can fill-out and send back. It seems to work better. I found that all I was getting when we put our website and made it a focus was clicks, so we removed offered deals, put the toll free number and a little questionnaire.

We send out postcards once a month, but to doctors we've never sent before. I do it quarterly for people who we sent before but no response. Now, please note I have a part-time girl who helps me do follow-up calls to ALL doctors we send postcards too. To me sending out postcards without any follow-up with get you no where fast, but broke.

I also have 4 different types of post-cards 2 for promotions/introduction, 1 for followup and 1 that's sort of like a patient reminder but for doctors, haha. It's so weird because we end-up with 3 signees every six months or so with this. I think 3 is like my magic number and I fully accept that, haha.
