Michele,
I met with a mental health provider and his biggest concern is we use a different software and he is trying to figure out how he will get the data into his software claims and all, he wants the data in his software also, please give me advice on what to say to him?
or how this is done, I mean I will back everything up of course, and supply reports, have you ever run into this problem?

I have run into drs who want to continue to input everything into their software even though they are outsourcing the billing.  First of all, if it is possible for you to get access to their system (LogMeIn, Gotomypc, or a web based program) then you could offer to do it on their system if you feel that you could handle their software.  If that is not an option, then you need to tell him that if he wants to have all the info in his system too, then he will have to have someone enter it on his end.  It is not as involved as it would be if they were doing the billing, because it's not his 'billing books'.  I would assure him that you can provide him with any reports, at any time.  That may be enough to reassure him.

That is my angle this go around with marketing "Diversity". I'm finding the doctors that are billing in-house want to stay with their software and keep the control they have now and of course not waste their investment. Like Michele mentioned there are various ways to accomplish that and keep the client happy. My marketing is based on that very concept that they don't have to switch or have setup / conversion be such a headache. I can work in any software, the only one I don't like to work in and try to avoid is Medisoft <g>

I run into this a lot as well.  Right now I only work with my one web based system...so I market inform them that if they want to keep their existing software that they have to input it the data and I can supply them with reports etc.  It is a big challenge for me and I think does cause me some accounts but right now that is what I feel most comfortable with.  In the future I will lean towards remotely logging in and billing on their software....but with my software I know the strengths and what I can do with it and am confident telling them that I can provide high & quick reimbursement and excellent follow up with it...
