EMR/EHR programs
« on: September 01, 2009, 03:28:24 PM »
I am the owner of Practice Plus Medical Billing. I've been referred to a DO who is interested in suggestions for EMR programs for the practice she's establishing. I'd like to give her some good suggestions as I may be able to sign her as a client. I'd really appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Ben

There are so many EMR systems available I would suggest starting talks with your own software vendor, many vendors of PM software have come out with an integration for EMR. Also it helps to know what PM software the providers are using.
Many doctors are being bombarded by sales people for companies wanting them to spend thousands on a system when all they need to do is contact their own PM software vendor first. Also many states are running programs with grants available to providers.. it's still unclear how much if anything the govt will be giving out to these doctors for setup, a lot of it is up in the air.
