Billing for PT in state of CA
« on: June 25, 2015, 06:00:48 PM »
Hello!

I need guidelines for PT billing in state of CA. I received my first client in CA who is PT. I am in Mid Atlantic so don't know how Medicare contract works in CA. Also PT is new specialty for me. Any guidelines will be appreciated.

Thanks

If you have never billed PT you are in for a totally new, experience. PT is not billed like the medical specialties. You must keep track of visits and there are annual caps. It is billed the same way everywhere but you may be over your head if you have no experience.

Agree with Merry...PT is a different experience. The first thing I would do is research the LCD for the MAC you will be billing in CA.
