For New Billers and Wanna Be Billers
« on: April 03, 2015, 11:07:43 PM »
In looking for something else, I ran across the following links that I forgot I had.  If you have the time to read, I think it is a great introduction to the major concepts involved in billing, presented by Dr. Bob.  This was written in 2006, so some things he discusses may be different now.  I'm presenting it as is.  I have not read through it recently.  Enjoy.  I did.

Bravo, Dr. Bob! Would love to know what he thinks of ICD-10. My favorite diagnosis?

Sucked into jet engine, sequela encounter, V97.33XS

Yeah, okay.

Some of my favorite ICD10's:

R46.1: Bizarre personal appearance.

W22.02XD: V95.43XS: Spacecraft collision injuring occupant, sequela

Y93.D: V91.07XD: Burn due to water-skis on fire, subsequent encounter.

and last but not least:

W61.62XD: Struck by duck, subsequent encounter.
