How do you find out about new practices opening up in your area. Where would I look. Would it be my local newspaper or online.

It used to be that all new businesses and dr's offices would list something in local paper, however over years I've seen less and less but I would assume if a new practice opens up they do publish it in local sections of the local paper or even online news for that area. Sometimes you will see new practices or businesses also listed on bulletin boards at stores and even post office.

My local Chamber of Commerce usually holds events every other week and they are free to attend.  They are hosted by a business each time and they provide food and it's a great networking tool.

Quite often a new practice will host it at their location in order to let everyone know they are in town.  That is usually a good and free way to meet folks in your area and find potential leads.

Just google your city or a close city with the words chamber of commerce.

Another good source is to network with local Pharma Reps in your area.  You could easily walk into your local PCP and ask for instance who their rep for a particular drug is.

I was going to mention local chamber of commerce in your area. I've been using Pharmaceutical reps for years (I kept their cards and kept in touch from my days working in a large multi specialty group) and mentioned this in another topic about marketing. Call your real estate agent too, mines is a great help as she has an office in 2 states where I do the most business. There is tons of good info on this forum on how we all find new business, just do a search to get some more ideas.
Don't worry. Be happy.

Though our local Chamber is excellent, I live out in the Adirondacks and not too many physician offices are here locally so I do go into a neighboring town/city. Even there with the hospitals and clinics I don't see many of our physicians reaching out to their chamber sadly.  However.. we do get attorney's and accountants which are excellent networking resources :)
