Here goes icd10 question... looking for a code when a patient needs a mammogram. provider wants to write it: if mamogram is not tolerted than do a ultrasound. They were able to do the diagnosis that would cover it with icd9 but what should she use for icd10??

Your question doesn't give the diagnosis, you only describe the situation. Need to know why the patient needs a mammogram. :)

Dx we used was V76.12

The IDC 10 that is the one to one map for V76.12 is Z12.31 Encounter for screening mammogram for malignant neoplasm of breast. Of course I don't know if this is appropriate for any specific patient without more info. I hope that helps.
