: Psychological evaluation
: laceyx08 November 09, 2012, 11:31:19 AM
Ok so I bill for a psychologist. He has a client that he saw on a regular basis up until a couple months ago. Recently the kid's school asked him to do a psychological evaluation. Is there a special code for this? I wasn't sure if its just a 90806 or if there is another code to describe it. Thanks for any help!

with us our psychological evals consist of an intake -90801, then testing, we use 96101 & 96102, then a feedback depending on time usually 90804 or 90806 depending.   an evaluation consists of the testing.  some tests use other codes but we just use these 2.

Does anyone know what the new codes will be in 2013 for testing, i.e., the 96101 and 96102?  Will we still be able to use these codes, or are they changing also?

Thanks.
