Chiro Supplies
« on: December 10, 2008, 11:43:30 AM »
I wanted to know if anyone knows what they pay for E0856 (cervical traction device, cervical colllar with inflatable air bladder.  The Chiro I bill for wants to give it to a patient but he does not know how much to charge.  I tried looking at the mcr fee schedule but I could not find it.

Thanks
MR

Hi,
Usually people charge about 125-150% of invoice cost.

The E code won't be on the regular Medicare fee schedule, it would be on the Medicare DME fee schedule.  If he intended to bill Medicare he would have to become a Medicare supplier which is a totally different application than Medicare.
(Just in case it was a Medicare patient and he was thinking of that. :) )

Thanks for your help.  I did look on the mcr DME fee schedule just to see how much their fee was.  He wants to bill an auto carrier.

I will let him know.

Thanks again  :D

Good luck!  Most pay the amount billed if you attach the invoice.
