Virtual Office Space?
« on: October 02, 2015, 10:01:53 PM »
I'm in the process of starting my own medical business company. For the first year, I plan to work from home however as I expand, I would like to consider a small office. I've been seeing where there are virtual office space. The office in particular that I've looked into is less than two miles from home and offers private office space. Has anyone heard of these companies or have experience with them? They seem intriguing but then again I could be totally off. Would I be wasting my time on this or just enter into a formal lease on an office suite that or may not be move-in ready?

Congratulations on getting your own business going! By the way, do you post at AAPC also? There is someone with the same user name as you there, giving out awesome, thorough responses. If it is you, you clearly know your stuff, and I am sure that will help tremendously with getting clients for your new business.

As far as virtual office space goes, I would shelf that idea for now, and concentrate on setting up your home office suite. Once you know it is time to expand, revisit the idea. I have a feeling you will want "real" office space, when that time comes.

Thank you! I thought so as well as far as the virtual office space is concerned. And yes that is me lol I've probably checked the site every other hour hoping to see my CPC results. I took it last Saturday and am beyond anxious for my results.

Welcome and congratulations.  Looks like you are headed in the right direction.  I agree with Kristin though.  Things change so much in such a short time.  Don't waste your time & energy on something that may be totally different when you are ready to take that step.  Use your time and energy wisely on building your business.  ;)  I wish you the best!  Keep us posted on how you are doing.

I am sure you have passed the CPC, but can understand checking in constantly, LOL! It is a big deal. Best of luck to you!

Hello- Congratulations on starting your new business, I wish you the best of success. JMHO- Office space is of secondary importance, your primary task (unless you are a marketing wizard) is building your client base. 15-20 years ago it was somewhat easy to find new clients, today small billers are competing with large billing companies with large marketing budgets, and it's much more difficult to find doctor clients. You'll have plenty of time to explore office possibilities (I dream about it myself sometimes), but focus on building your client base first.  :)
