: Billing S501 and S502 in the Diagnosis Field Locators on the UB04

Can anyone tell me where I cna find info on S501 and S502 codes as well as S*** codes in general? I am having a hard time finding anything when googling these. We have bills with S-Codes on them, but they are not part of the ICD-9 Dx code list.....So are these truly Dx codes or if not, what are they, and who requires them to populate the Diagnosis Codes Field Locator on the UB04?
