using Occurrence spam code 74
« on: August 08, 2014, 03:01:49 PM »
We bill med B Therapy services thru Med A and have an inpatient overlap.  After hours of googling found that we should be entering an OSC 74 in the CWF.  Found the Map in CWF but not sure about the exact field to enter the 74 or the dates.   In an old DDE instruction book there is a refrence to a two-digit alphanumeric code, but cant find codes.  Please anyone able to guide us?

I am not sure because I've never faced the issue you are describing but with my knowledge of UB04s I would say that they 74 goes in field 35 followed by the dates.

Yes that appears to be correct for the UB04.  I need to input it in the common working file so that medicare will bill.

Again, I've never been faced with this, but isn't the CWF updated by the claim information, so inputting it in the claim would update the CWF?
