Ethics question
« on: March 25, 2015, 02:04:45 PM »
Okay. We have an LPC and psychologist at my office. Both of them are either recovering from surgery or illness. We have two interns at our site that are supervised normally by these two. Right now they are getting supervision from their professor (a psychologist) who is not on site. Is it ethical to bill patients under this? My gut instinct says no. Any help would be appreciated.

If the law in the practice's state requires that the supervising psychologist be on site, or even that it has to be one of the actual practice's psychologist/LPC's, and not someone who is not part of the practice(the professor), then clearly, there is no way to bill for anything in my opinion.
