clearinghouse
« on: June 10, 2009, 05:17:17 PM »
Hi Everyone;

Does anyone know which clearinghouse is most reasonable?

Medisoft charges $90 per month per Dr.  (includes electronic claims, ERA, and eligibility)

Is there anything cheaper?

thanks for your help,

Almost every clearinghouse deals with Medisoft, You shouldn't have a problem shopping around. $90 a month per doctor is ludicrous.. are you getting anything else with that? Is that for unlimited claims? Benefit eligibility?

That is better then mine...mine is $75.00 per doctor and I get 25 claims free after that it is $1.00 per claim.  (Oh and if I enter a cash patient to record what procedures were performed that counts as a claim too).  It is web based and has a lot of great functions and is easy for a newbie like me to use...but it does cost.

Well before you start looking it might be a good idea to get together some reports and see what your volume is, if you have a high volume than $90 per doctor might not be bad, especially if you are getting the other benefits, with other clearinghouses you may not get a per doctor charge but rather per transaction and it could cost you more.
