New Billing Business
« on: December 18, 2011, 04:52:54 PM »
Hello Everyone, :)

I read the topic were the question was asked, going from % to flat fee, have been trying to research on witch would be for a new starting  business concentrating on Chiropractors.  I am moving carefully and trying to make the right decisions to prevent any mistakes.  So, I've decided to go with a flat fee, being I have no business yet.  I am starting at $30 per hour and am going to use a web based software.  Can you also suggest a minim of hours I need to require from each Dr.  Can you please give me your professional advise as to how this sounds to you or anyone out there.   Thank you for your dedication in helping us out here lost and trying to get necessary info.

You don't say how much experience you have, usually this will/should determine the "hourly" rate you want to make.  It's too hard to tell you how many hours per client.. and I never reveal my hourly rate in my flat fee. My flat fee consists of all services and there's a sliding scale for the practice to grow. Once you have that number in your head then all you have to do is determine the flat fee by using the hourly rate and adding costs for that client.  I have had some clients that only required a few hours a week to ones that took about 100 hours a month.. really depends on the practice. $30 per hour as your goal rate sounds about right if you have experience.

I don't think you are going to find a warm and fuzzy feeling here, I'll only speak for myself but I don't like helping out offshore billing companies start up so they can take work from us.
